Statement of Purpose
The purpose of the Fiduciary Round Table of the
San Gabriel Valley is to bring together a dynamic network of professionals
qualified to provide a full range of fiduciary services and to enhance
the profession by providing a forum for the exchange of information
and ideas.
History
The FRT/SGV was founded in 1986 by Harcourt Hervey
III to meet a need for a networking system and ongoing dialogue
between fiduciaries and attorneys. Originally, informal meetings
were held in Mr. Hervey's offices. After two years, Sanwa Bank offered
its boardroom, where meetings were held until February '94. Increased
membership and the natural evolution toward a more structured organization
prompted the membership to move the monthly meetings to the Pasadena
University Club.

Membership
Membership is open to anyone serving in a fiduciary
capacity or providing a fiduciary-related service. Members include
the following disciplines: accountant, attorney specializing in
estate planning and probate matters, care manager, corporate and
non-corporate trustee, estate liquidator, financial planner, gerontologist,
investment advisor, personal property appraiser, probate conservator,
property manager, nursing agency, planned gift officer, probate
referee, real estate appraiser, real estate broker, record preservation
service, and social worker. Membership dues are charged and a comprehensive
membership directory is published annually.
Meetings
Breakfast meetings are held on the second Wednesday
of each month at the Pasadena University Club from September through
June. These meetings, from 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M., include a buffet
breakfast, time for networking, a brief period for business and
announcements, craft talks by members, and presentations on subjects
of interest to fiduciaries. Visitors are welcome and pay a guest
fee for breakfast.
